Wollastonite is an inorganic needle-like mineral. It is characterized by non-toxicity, chemical corrosion resistance, good thermal stability and dimensional stability, glass and pearl luster, low water absorption and oil absorption, excellent mechanical and electrical properties with certain reinforcing effect. Wollastonite products have long fibers and easy separation, low iron content and high whiteness. This product is mainly used as a reinforcing filler for polymer-based composite materials, such as plastics, rubber, ceramics, coatings, building materials and other industries.

In paper making industry, wollastonite can keep the unique needle-like form after special processes. Using wollastonite as filler can improve the whiteness of paper, make the paper more opaque, more flat, reduce the quantitative cross difference and the wet deformation of paper. Improving printing adaptability, can greatly reduce the amount of other raw materials used, and reduce the cost of paper products as a whole.
