Talc powder is an industrial product, belonging to the talc group of magnesium silicate minerals. Its main component is hydrated magnesium silicate, which is crushed, treated with hydrochloric acid, washed with water, and dried. The main component of talc is magnesium silicate containing water, with a molecular formula of Mg3 [Si4O10] (OH) 2; Talc belongs to the monoclinic crystal system. Crystals are in the shape of pseudo hexagonal or rhombic flakes, occasionally seen. Usually formed into dense clumps, leaf like, radial, and fibrous aggregates. Colorless transparent or white, but appears light green, light yellow, light brown, or even light red due to the presence of small amounts of impurities; The cleavage surface has a pearl luster. Hardness 1, specific gravity 2.7-2.8
Production process:
The extracted talc (the raw material of talc powder) can be directly crushed by Raymond mill or other high-pressure mills after selecting excellent talc, and packaged in woven bags (50kg, or 25kg specification woven bags) before being sold as finished products. In terms of mining methods, due to the extremely unstable ore and surrounding rock, the ore body is mostly inclined and steeply inclined thick and extra thick ore bodies. The shape and thickness of the ore body vary greatly, and there are many interbedded stones in the ore body. In the past, horizontal layered selection and filling mining method was used (some mines still use this method).
Characteristic:
It has excellent physical and chemical properties such as lubrication, fire resistance, acid resistance, insulation, high melting point, inactive chemical properties, good covering power, softness, good gloss, and strong adsorption. Due to the layered crystal structure of talc, it has a tendency to easily split into scales and special lubricity
Application:
Cosmetic grade (HZ): used for various moisturizing powders, beauty powders, body powder, etc.
Coating grade (TL): Used for white pigment and various water-based, oil-based, resin industrial coatings, primers, protective paints, etc.
Paper grade (ZZ): Used as a filler for various types of paper and paperboard, as a wood asphalt control agent.
Plastic grade (SL): Used as a filler for plastics such as polypropylene, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene, and polyester.
Rubber grade (AJ): used for rubber fillers and anti adhesive agents in rubber products.
Cable grade (DL): used for cable rubber additives and cable isolation agents.
Ceramic grade (TC): used for manufacturing electric ceramics, wireless electric ceramics, various industrial ceramics, architectural ceramics, daily ceramics, and enamel.
